I asked Jesus to be mv Saviour at 17.vears old, but I can't ever remember a time when He was not with me. I did not grow up in a Christian home and things were not always peaceful. I would find myself reaching out to God and talking to Him whenever I was lonely, sad or in need of comfort. He was My sanity. He was always there! It was not until later that I realized I had to ask Him into my heart, as Lord and saviour, to have that personal relationship with Him.
I can, without a second thought, say that Jesus is the only reason I am alive todav. I am a survivor of abuse, I am a survivor of painful marital problems, and I am a survivor of all of the other obstacles that Satan has tried to bring my way! "To God be the glory, great things He has done!!!"
I always sav to people as I share my testimony, God took a scared, broken little girl and created a strong, whole woman! This did not come overnight, but it did come in God's perfect timing and His perfect way!
Now, God has opened a door in which I never tbought I would walk through. He has given me the opportunity, tbrough music ministry, to use the awesome things He has done in my life to touch and change others lives! He has taken the things of mv heart and put it into words!
There is a verse in Genesis that says, "What Satan wants to "so for bad, God can take and use for good' (my own wording). This is what He has done in my life! Praise God that He never gave up on me even when I sometimes walked away from Him!
There is no greater accomplishment that I can achieve in this life than to allow my Lord and Saviour to work totallv and completely, in me and through me, to fulfill His perfect will!
